Vision Children aims to work alongside parents in giving meaning and life to what it means to walk in the ways of God.

Our children's ministry is designed for all children up to Primary Year 6 and is held during the 10 am Sunday Service.

The curriculum we use is geared to grow a child’s capacity to recognise and respond to the Voice and Presence of God. It is our desire to see the children deeply touched by the Holy Spirit and to be able to read the Bible for themselves. We also encourage our children to have fun with each other, through games, competitions, craft, sport, music, puppets and drama.

There are a number of groups for different ages:

  • Creche - for children aged 12 months to 3 years
  • Pre-School - for children aged 3 to 5 years
  • Lower Primary - for children aged 6 to 8 years
  • Upper Primary - for children aged 9 to 12 years

Parents with babies are welcome to use the comfort room where you can still view and hear the service.

Every other Wednesday, 10am - 12pm at Vision Fyshwick

Playtime is a wonderful morning of play, song and craft for babies and children under school age. If you’re a parent or carer of a baby or child under school age, this is a perfect opportunity for you to meet and connect with other parents and carers of little ones.

A yummy morning tea is provided for parents and carers. Please bring snacks for your little ones.

Christian Education in Schools (CEIS)

and Special Religious Education (SRE)

Volunteers from VCF join with members from other churches, to provide Christian Education in schools (CEIS) in Canberra or Special Religious Education (SRE) (Scripture) in Queanbeyan schools.

CEIS and SRE provide opportunities for students in primary schools in the ACT and in NSW to learn about the Christian faith.

Volunteers assisting with CEIS in Canberra schools, need to attend training provided by the CEIS team (see

Volunteers teaching SRE in NSW must receive authorised initial and ongoing training in classroom management, as well as in child protection which we access through external authorised providers. For example Godspace (for more details see This is supplemented by other informal training.
