OUTREACH @ VISION

Vision CF supports both local and international efforts to express the love of God, help His people and further His Kingdom. We support the following Kingdom activities through relationship, prayer and finance.

MOZAMBIQUE
Steve and Roz Lazar were released from our church in 1999 to become the directors of the Iris Ministries Base in Zimpeto, Maputo. They oversee the care of approximately 500 children and staff associated with the Base which was established in 1995. As well as full-time staff there is a steady stream of short-term volunteers to encourage and direct in the work of the centre.

Pam Cox was released in a similar manner in 2005 to serve the Iris Ministries Centre in Pemba. She assists by running various Schools for local pastors as well as overseas students. She also mentors a number of young Mozambicans from the local region and has responsibility for various base leaders around the world.

THAILAND
Raelene and Dominik Fechner have lived in Chang Mai, Thailand for over 10 years. In September 2009, they officially started a new ministry called Bridgeworks. BridgeWorks has had Foundation status in Thailand from January 2010. BridgeWorks is a support network small, under-resourced children’s homes in the north of Thailand that have been started, directed and administered by the local national members themselves. Most of them have some sort of other part-time work to provide a personal income. The homes themselves are supported by various means, and in some cases this includes assistance from overseas church groups. They also seek to find ways to provide for themselves (eg – rice cultivation). The other members of BridgeWorks are affiliated ministries, and individuals involved with one of the member Children’s Homes, or BridgeWorks projects.

MISSION TRIPS
Teams are sent out on an annual basis to Mozambique or Thailand for the purpose of serving the missionaries that have gone to either place from our church. The size of a team can vary from 4 to 15, as does the age range. The length of the Mozambique trip is usually once a month over the December holiday period to assist the orphanage at Zimpeto with its Christmas celebration and out reach. The Thailand trip is shorter in time and usually in July.
We also release teams to travel to build the Kingdom of God through equipping and teaching of local pastors and leaders. India and the Philippines are two countries impacted in this manner.
