KIDS OF VISION

ABOUT KIDS OF VISION
Our Pastors consider the spiritual life of a child to be primarily a parental responsibility. So, Kids of Vision focuses on supporting the spiritual nurture already occurring in the family home. A child who sees his or her parent(s) actively and consistently praying, worshipping and searching the Bible at home will be more likely to grow in the things of God than one who doesn’t have such an example.

However, not all children have the blessing of a Christian home life. So, special love and care is given to ensure that God’s heart is also conveyed to these children. All are welcome and our church endeavours to provide avenues of teaching and nurture to all who come along to the children’s ministry.

To that end, Kids of Vision tries to give meaning and life to what it means to walk in the ways of God. The curriculum we use is geared to grow a child’s capacity to recognise and respond to the voice and presence of God. Sunday participation and other events are clothed in prayer and thoughtful preparation. It is our desire to see the children deeply touched by the Holy Spirit and to be able to read the Bible for themselves.

Kids of Vision does not operate at this stage for the 8.30 am service. During the 10 am service this ministry functions from approximately 11 am for about 60 minutes, just after the celebration of the Lord’s Supper, for the following age groups:

KOV 1: Creche (18 months to 3)
KOV 2: Pre-school (3 to 5)
KOV 3: Early primary (6-8)
KOV 4: Later primary (9-12)
